Dr. Dean Fior is an accomplished general surgeon.  He is certified in wound care to provide expert care to skilled nursing facilities, long term acute care agencies, in addition to any other individuals in need of comprehensive wound care. With his training in the burn unit at Cornell/Weill and cancer training at Sloan Kettering hospitals, his experience, knowledge, expertise, and overall experience, gives him the ability to effectively heal wounds, while providing comfort. His research at Yale gives the experience that patients have come to know and trust.

 

Dr. Fior ensures that each patient receives incomparable services to ensure effective wound management.  His wound care experience spans over two decades.

Joann Clinton, MSN, AGACNP-BC is a certified acute care nurse practitioner currently serving patients at skilled nursing facilities across the Detroit Metropolitan area. Joann works with Dr. Dean Fior, at Advocates Home and Healthcare who specialize in care of the largest organ in the human body, the skin. The repair and recovery of skin due to damage from chronic illness, pressure ulcers, loss of elasticity to due age, obesity, and vascular and arterial insufficiencies are just a few types of skin breakdown that Dr. Fior and his team treat daily.  
 
Joann obtained her MSN from Purdue University Global in February 2022. Prior to that, she received her BSN from Mercy College of Toledo in April 2017.
 
Joann started her professional career with Select Specialty Hospital, which is a long-term acute care hospital dedicated to the recovery of the chronically-critically ill patient. With Select Specialty, Joann began as a bedside nurse and advanced as a preceptor and finally a charge nurse. She was also a member of several committees and programs where she planned and organized events for patients, faculty, and facility.
 
Joann remains a member of several nursing organizations such as Sigma Theta Tau 2017, American Nurses Association – Michigan 2019, Society of Collegiate Leadership & Achievement 2020, American Association of Nurse Practitioners 2020, American Nurses Credentialing Center 2021,  American Association of Critical-Care Nurses 2022, and the Organization of Wound Care Nurses and Allied Healthcare Professionals 2023.
 
Joann has been professionally recognized by Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare 2020 and in Todaysnurse.org for her hard work and dedication to the profession. She attributes her success to the support of her mother, Amal Salem, her husband Gary Clinton, and her three children Samantha, Miranda, and Joey. As an accomplished nurse practitioner, Joann understands the importance of maintaining a positive approach to care through times of despair with daily quotes, jokes, music and smiles with her patients.

Kelly Stovall, ACNP-BC, RN, MSN graduated from Wayne State University with her masters degree in nursing in 2013.  She is board certified as an acute care nurse practitioner through ANCC.  She has been providing excellent nursing care since 2002.  She grew up in Detroit and the surrounding areas and has three beautiful children.  She likes to work with wounds because it is one area she can definitely see patients heal. 

 

She states, "wounds can be scary looking and they can invite a lot of fear.  I try to make patients feel confident about what they have and what's going on, that way we can all work together to help start the healing process."

Victoria Clark, ACNP, RN, MSN graduated from Wayne State University with her masters degree in nursing and adult primary care nursing in 2013.  She has been providing outstanding nursing care since 2009.  Her extensive research into Alzheimer's, dementia, and the effects of hypertension means she provides aspects of wound healing specific to each individual's need, regardless of complexity of comorbidities.

Danielle Bijelic, DNP, FNP-C graduated from Madonna University in December of 2013 with her BSN. She worked as a registered nurse at Ascension Providence Southfield following graduation in their cardiac progressive care and cardiovascular intensive care units from January 2014 until August 2022. Danielle uses her love for puzzles to drive her in solving what causes patients’ wounds and how to heal them. She currently lives in Rochester Hills with her husband however, she will always be a West-sider at heart as she grew up in Redford for most of her life. She enjoys traveling and spending time with her family. Danielle loves people and getting to know her patients is her favorite part of her job.
